  •  Firstly the cheap price of these phones attract our Indian consumers
  • China has better space and decent build quality
  • China companies won't beat Samsung in build quality but they are OK.
Why are they so cheap?
We can see this as a two-factor work that will fix its value

  • Labour- China has a large population and a lot of workers that work at lower wages.
  • Marketing-  Have you ever seen ads of Xiaomi or cheap products on TV they only advertise on the internet so that cuts the cost compared to other brands.
  • Low profits They are not capitalist and don't have huge profit margins as Samsung
  • Customer - Customer always looks for a cheap product, Giving an additional 5% to purchase any small toy to big items that make them worry. We are not thinking that if we have a job they have money and then we can purchase a better quality product. Even to buy school Item we try to find the lowest quality priced items. It just adds more garbage and pollution to all aspects.
  • GOVT - As everyone says easy doing business and loan process.
We can't manufacture in India at a huge level or from scratch because.
1No Microprocessor unit :
Do we have a company or branch of a company like Intel or Qualcomm or Speadtrum or Mediatek in India?
No. Imports are expensive. The Republic of China has Taiwan. Taiwan owns MediaTek. And a few big companies like Acer, Asus, and HTC. Processors are therefore cheap.
2No Displays or panel manufacturers in India :

Do we have companies that can supply the display or Ic or motherboards to the phone companies? Think about it. Not.
We have to import from our favorite China nation.
3No Plastic industry of standard quality :

We have industrial complexes, but phone manufacturing requires the highest quality fibers and plastics that we do not produce.
We can't manufacture that because we were never interested in that. Last point.

4. Research & Development :

India does not have R&D facilities. Our government allocated only Rs 150 million for research and development.
Even if we start, we can't match Chinese manufacturing because they started with Sigmatel and E-comm, companies similar to G-five, but have now evolved into professional development.
Cost reduction is a great advantage for Chinese manufacturers.
Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Xiaomi has its own patents. How did that come about? Billions of dollars in R&D to make new things and innovative products.
Now, let's talk about Make in India. Its assembly in India is not made in India. It sure creates jobs. But just to ignore import taxes, which is around 30%, companies found a gap and began to pretend they were manufacturing.
Only Foxconn has promised to manufacture entirely in India.
A company requires thousands of components to make a phone. You cannot manufacture everything alone. We need component manufacturers first instead of the phone companies.
Also, we even hate China because it steals technology from other countries (which is not true), China is booming and developing everything in every area.

Reliance Jio 4G:

All Indian smartphone brands expected 4G to arrive in India in 2018.
But, Reliance Jio quickly extended 4G connectivity in the country.
Therefore, Indian companies were not ready for 4G. Before making a big decision, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus had already started capturing the market.

Extra information :

Innovation :

Indian smartphone companies did not innovate anything comparable to Chinese companies.
Micromax, Lava, and Karbonn had enough money at the time to invest in manufacturing, research, and development plans.
They could have started their own software companies developing innovative built-in features.
But, these companies did nothing.

Focusing on PROFITS only:

Most of the Indian smartphone brands operated with a profit margin of 20-30%. That is a great comparison with Chinese companies.
Indian companies just wanted to make money as fast as possible. But, this idea failed completely.
Xiaomi continues to make less profit because they want consumers to love their products.
All Chinese brands operate their businesses with only a 5% profit margin.

Low-Quality Products:

Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus started offering high-quality products at cheaper prices.

On the other hand, Indian companies wanted to make more money by taking a large profit margin. Also, the quality of Indian brands was so poor compared to Chinese brands.

Made In India:

We cannot blame the initiative taken by the government. Due to manufacturing in India, Chinese companies started creating assembly plants in India.
That lowers taxes and transportation costs for Chinese companies.
Indian brands did not understand this fact. They continued to make phones in China.

Chinese Manufacturing:

The harsh reality of the Indian smartphone brand is that they did not have any kind of manufacturing plant.
All the companies were buying phones from Chinese manufacturers. And then, by branding the phones, they were selling phones in India.
