Open-source Audacity can record and edit audio files on more tracks than you can imagine. It then outputs exactly what you need, even to MP3 if you use a plug-in. It is perfect for noobs and pros alike, on any desktop OS.


How to download
  1. From a web browser, navigate to http://www.audacityteam.org/download/ or click on ( click here to download.)
  2. Click “Audacity for Windows.”
  3. From the next screen, select “Audacity 2.1.3 Installer” and an .exe file will download.
  4. After the download is finished, navigate to the location the .exe file was saved, which is most likely in the Downloads folder.
  5. Double-click the .exe file and follow through the steps of the installer.
